A practice room for extemp speakers
Prepdraw runs one extemporaneous speaking round the way a tournament does. Draw your topics, prepare against the clock, give the speech, then score yourself and keep the round in a log.
It runs in your browser with no account, and everything it keeps stays on this device. Open the practice room once with a connection and it keeps working with the Wi-Fi off.
Draw
Deal three or five topics face down, turn them over and choose one, as the format you pick does.
Prep
A large clock for the full prep time, four practice milestones and an outline pad for your answer, three points and sources.
Speak
The speech clock with practice time signals, then the grace period or the finish-the-sentence rule, with overtime counted in red.
Score
Score yourself 1 to 5 on the UIL ballot categories, with the judges' questions one tap away, and watch the trend.
Where the rules come from
Each league format quotes its own rule book, with a link and the date the rule was read. A rule nobody could read is marked unverified. Tournaments can set their own rules, so check the invitation for the one you are entering.
